Happy honda days

AGENCY: SECRET WEAPON “Rick/DICK sittig’s agency”

ROLES: ACD, ART DIRECTOR, WRITER, ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOGRAPHER, STORYBOARDER, DESIGNER, SONGWRITER

During the holidays, we took Helpful Honda to the North Pole, and it was easily my favorite time of the year. I’ve always loved stop-motion animation, so working on these spots felt like stepping straight into a Rankin/Bass holiday special—pure magic, minus the questionable 1960s lip-syncing. I loved concepting the scripts, songwriting, the puppetry, and creating entire worlds out of latex, felt, and baking soda with glitter mixed in. Each year, we worked with incredible talent, from all-star voice actors to Emmy-winning animators to the cinematographer of Marcel the Shell With Shoes On. So much love was poured into this campaign every year.

A handful of spots from the 9 years of working on these.

Copywriters: Leah Dieterich, Mike Alfaro, Shaun Oppedisano, & Jeremy Graham
Art Directors: Gera Guillén, Enrique Alvarado, & Noah Meadors

SCRIPTED SPOTS

I loved crafting stories that didn’t just sell “Helpful”, but let our characters grow year after year. And the easter eggs, loved hiding nuggets that made this world feel deep.

SONGS!

I make up songs in my head everyday, always loved coming up with words, rhymes and the composition with the amazing Gabe Sokoloff.

OUT OF HOME

Billboards yo, it was the only time of the year where we plastered busses, billboards and wrapping paper all over SoCal.

DIGITAL BANNERS

This page could scroll on forever. Banners are tiny, the last year we did the campaign I pushed for some 1920x1080 exports. Happy I did because these go hard.
